“French is Fun!” Isn’t this what we are constantly telling our students to motivate them? We are inviting you to show your students that this is not a myth!
Every year French Clubs from all over the state get together for a week-end of ALCFES (Association Louisianaise des Clubs Français des Écoles Secondaires) CULTURE, COMPETITION, COMMUNICATION, And of course it’s all in FRENCH!
Who: French Clubs or any group of French Students and teacher.
What: Interactive Games, speakers from several Francophone countries, skits, spelling and culture quiz bees, Banner, Scrapbook, Video, Music competitions, Boutique with French Realia (Students earn piastres $ when they participate/ speak in the target language), and French Music.
When: January 29, 30, and 31, 2010
Where: New Orleans- Airport Hilton.
Why: It’s a mini-immersion experience!
How Much: $165 (per student for a quad room). If you have been to the convention before, we look forward to seeing you again! She will be happy to answer any questions you have and to get you in contact with an ALCFES teacher in your area! A registration packet will follow with more information. Please note that the registration deadline and initial deposit for the convention must be postmarked by Friday, December 11, 2009 and the final payments are due by Monday, January 11, 2010.
